Evolutionary Enlightenment Workshop

During this afternoon together, we'll investigate the unique spiritual philosophy of Evolutionary Enlightenment, using two short video clips from a retreat with Andrew Cohen. We'll examine the different aspects of the self?ego, ground of being, authentic self?emphasizing our capacity to choose what kind of self we aspire to be.

This conversation is about soul development, about how human beings evolve at the level of consciousness itself. It is an opportunity to learn how to discover a natural, and very human, recognition that the evolutionary impulse that has been driving the creation of the universe from the beginning is who and what we are. It's eminently practical, and offers a new spiritual and philosophical context for contemporary life (I realize that this last point is controversial, but we'll talk about that, too). As we inquire, I think we will discover an authentic conversation about human life that will be as valuable and thrilling as it is rare. We'll do this together: the format will be an open, facilitated discussion, interspersed with periods of meditation.
